2ND ANNUAL O’HARA LEPRECHAUN 5K Cardinal O'Hara will host a 5K Run/Walk on March 9, 2014 at 1:30 PM at the School. There will be a 1 mile Fun Run and a Kid's Dash at 1PM. ST. DOROTHY BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP St. Dorothy Bereavement Support Group will begin on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at 7:30 PM in the library, church basement. All are welcome, especially those who have lost a loved one in the past 6-24 months. Experienced leader, on site parking, and no fee. MAN UP PHILLY 2014 - A MEN’S SPIRITUALITY CONFERENCE This year Man Up Philly will be holding the 6th Annual Men’s Spirituality Conference in Philadelphia. PREP REGISTRATION Registration for September 2014 in our Parish Religious Education Program, (PREP), will take place on Sunday, March 23rd, in the School Gym from 8:30 AM till 9:40 AM. You may also register during the week in the Religious Education office from 9 AM till noon and from 1:30 PM till 4:15 PM. This registration is for new students only. Don’t wait if you have a child for Kindergarten or first grade as we have limited space because of our increasing numbers. Needed for registration: 1. you must be a registered member of the Parish 2. have a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate if not baptized at St. Dorothy 3. supplies fee - $85 for one child and $140 for two or more. A payment plan can be arranged. Re-Registration for children already in the program can be made by paying the fee for the year. You do not have to fill out new forms.
BLOOD DRIVE Every few seconds someone needs a blood transfusion in our community. Giving blood is safe, it’s easy, and it saves lives. The American Red Cross will be sponsoring a Blood Drive at St. Dorothy’s on Thursday, March 27, from 1 to 6 PM in the gym. 2014 ST. DOT’S CHALLENGE The 2014 St. Dot’s Challenge will be held on Saturday, May 31 this year. In addition to the 5k race, we’ll also have a 1 mile family walk, a kid’s 1 mile race (“Kid’s K”), and the Dot’s Dash (400m) for those that are K to 2nd Grade. Our race expo will be held Friday evening, May 30 from 5 to 8 PM in the St Dot's gym, where you'll be able to pick up your race packet, register for the race, and check-out the vendor tables for health & fitness tips and a few goodies. This year we’ll again have the disposable electronic bib chip timing and the high quality tech shirts for the first 200 registered 5k runners.
