CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK We begin our celebration of Catholic Schools’ Week with the 11:30 AM Liturgy on Sunday, January 25th. An Open House will be held in the school following the liturgy. All are invited to tour the school, view student work, meet the faculty and see firsthand the extraordinary spiritual and learning environment St. Dorothy School has to offer. SAINT DOROTHY ANNUAL BOOK FAIR Please join us next Sunday, January 25th in the Library after the 10:00 and 11:30 AM Mass. Books for all ages will be available for purchase. We are excited to offer some Reading Olympic selections. The fair will be open through th the week concluding on Friday, January 30. KINDERGARTEN and NEW FAMILY REGISTRATION 2015-2016 School Year
Registration for Kindergarten will be held on Friday, January 30 from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the annex. Tuition for full day Kindergarten is $3,328.00 per child for parishioners and $4,060.00/child for non-parishioners. A non-refundable $500 fee is required at time of registration. This fee will be applied to the tuition.
Registration for students in grades 1-8, who do not presently attend St. Dorothy School, will also be held on January 30. In-parish tuition for grades 1-8 is as follows: 1 child - $3,100.00 2 children - $4,252.00 3 children - $5,220.00 4 children - $5,564.00
Tuition for non-parishioners for grades 1-8 is $3,840.00/child.
No registration fee is required for grades 1-8.
Requirements for all new students: 1. Belief that Catholic Education and growth in knowledge and practice of religion is top priority. 2. Kindergarten children MUST be five years old by August 31. 3. Birth certificate is needed, as well as a Baptismal certificate, if child was not baptized at St. Dorothy Parish. Certificates are due at the time of registration. 4. COMPLETE IMMUNIZATION RECORD – PA State Law requires that all children be immunized. Before admittance to school, they must have had: 4 doses of diphtheria & tetanus (fourth dose must be after 4th birthday) 3 doses of polio vaccine 2 measles, mumps, rubella vaccine (first one must be given at 1 year of age or older) 3 doses of hepatitis B vaccine 1 varicella or history of chicken pox
You are required to have proof of the month, day, and year the immunizations were given. This information is due at the time of registration.

APPRECIATION NIGHT Friday, February 6, 2015 - 7:00 PM As an expression of gratitude to those who have generously given the gift of their time on behalf of St. Dorothy Parish, we will have an evening of finger food, drinks, and socialization on Friday, February 6, 2015 in the school gym/auditorium from 7:00 until midnight. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT MERCY FITZGERALD The Spiritual Care Department at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital is hoping and praying for a few volunteers to minister to our patients.
