November Notes
Dear Parents,
We begin this month with the twin celebrations of All Saints and All Souls. They remind us that “Death is not the end nor does it break the bonds of love forged in Life.” According to The Catechism of the Catholic Church, “the saints intercessions is the most exalted service to God’s plan. We can and should ask them to intercede for us and for the whole world.”(#2683) In the same way, we pray for those who have died but have yet to enter fully into the joy of heaven. The Church teaches that a time of purgatory is necessary to remove the effects of sin so that we can be fully united with God. We call this cycle of those on earth praying to the saints in heaven to intercede for us and our prayers for the souls in purgatory. - The Communion of Saints.
